The Chick is Back!

I can't believe summer is over and I'm finally getting around to posting on here again! It's been super crazy and with work and having my boyfriend here, I barely had any time to do anything creative. Of course I pick the last minute to finally do something! A couple of days ago, my boyfriend and I ventured out into the garage to spray paint my ATG gun and I must say, it turned out beautiful!

I used Krylon Fusion for plastic in a light purple and when it was all dry I applied some Heidi Grace flock stickers and rub-ons. Of course I also had to bling it up a bit, too!

Tonight, to keep me busy while my boyfriend was on his way home =[ I decided to do something with the notebooks I bought for my classes. I have 4 of them but I only got to do 2 since I changed my mind on what I wanted to do with them about a million times!

AC Moore's Scrapbook Construction Zone!

Hey everyone! I've had a busy week at work and spent my nights cuddling with the boyfriend. Some of your AC Moore's might be reconstructing your scrapbook section and stocking it with a whole load of brand new goodies! I know mine is and although I work in framing, I always have time to walk by and take a peek. We're getting in a bunch of stuff I've never seen at craft stores before and here are some of my favorites I cannot wait to buy:

- Glue Glider Pros and Glue Glider Max
(The Glue Glider Max is a little bigger than an ATG gun and has wider tape. The refills use a lot of plastic and they're so bulky. I'll stick with my ATG and get a little glue glider eventually)

-We R Memory Keepers Corner Chomper
(We have both the regular corner and the decorative corners. I can't wait to get one!)

-Fiskars Scallop Sentiment Edge Punch
(I cannot say how long I've waited for these to be back in stock, or if they ever had them in the first place. Paycheck is going straight to that, after my boyfriend's birthday present of course!)

We also have this whole section in stamping dedicated to Inkadinkado brand stamps with acrylic blocks and inks. They have chalk ink that I've never seen before! I've wanted to buy some of the ColorBox chalk inks in full pads but they only have the little ones. Now I can finally have full pad chalk inks!

That's pretty much it for now! I'll keep posting about our progress and all the new stuff I see! Also, with my wonderful discount I plan on having some more giveaways so keep checking back!

Mothers Day Card and Explosion Box!

Hello my loves! I'm finally uploading my projects! I've been super busy with stuff lately so I couldn't really do much crafty stuff. I've been working at AC Moore for 2 shifts and I love it! Plus, I work with my cousin so it'll be a lot of fun. The other night I got inspired to do this Explosion box from Canadian Nickel Scrap'n! She always makes the coolest projects and I just had to make one for my mom! Plus, it gave me an excuse to hijack all of our old pictures and organize them. So here it is:

And here's what it looks like closed:

I didn't really decorate the outside much because I wanted all the fun to be inside! You can find a tutorial video on how to make this awesome project by clicking the link I posted earlier.

Of course I can't give her a present without a card!

I used the same inking technique as I did in one of my older posts with the dream tag. It's on Tim Holtz's website. I used the Indie Art cart to cut out the butterflies at 1 inch. The stamps are from a whole bunch of collections since I didn't have a specific mothers day one.

So that's what my mom is getting for Mothers Day! What have you been making for your mom?

Happy National Scrapbook day!
This is going to motivate me to clean my craft room and actually work on some projects! What are you making to celebrate?

Hello bloggies! Just wanted to let everyone know I got the job at AC Moore! I'm sooo excited! I know I haven't been posting any crafty stuff but I'm working on my mom's mother's day present and it's taking forever! I'll have my progress posted soon so keep a look out!
